Drug addiction knows no boundaries and excludes no demographic, and there is clear evidence that the problems worsened across Georgia and across America during the pandemic. Chris is holding the opioid manufacturers and distributors accountable for their role in fueling the opioid epidemic in Georgia, and the legal action he initiated will now result in Georgia receiving more than $636 million from the national opioid settlement for desperately needed treatment. The Statewide Opioid Task Force that Chris created in 2018 now includes more than 300 public, private and nonprofit entities that are working together to save lives.
